So, whether you skate goofy-footed or regular, finding your footing shouldn’t present any issues on the 2^nd generation D3M. Similarly, with extra large wheels, this electric longboard won’t give you trouble on smooth or rough surfaces.

Overall, the D3M 2^nd Generation Longboard can pump out some impressive speeds, reaching nearly 25 MPH. To the same effect, this powerhouse of a board can ride up to 16.7 miles on a single charge. Not only does this electric skateboard travel fast and far, but it also has a lightweight and durable battery. Moreover, the reliable battery makes for an easy charge and a safe ride.

In line with other same-class electric longboards, the included wireless remote lets you stop on a dime and accelerate right back into action. Along with the reactive wireless controller, this board can rifle you up the steepest inclines. Also, this electric longboard comes equipped with LED Safety Lights to keep you safe if you’re commuting at night or just enjoying a nice ride in the moonlight. There’s no doubt that the most impressive feature brought to us by Koowheels in this board is the top-speed. More explicitly, this electric-powered longboard can get up to 26 MPH. When compared to other in-class electric skateboards, this is lightning fast. Of course, you always have to take into account individual weight, so chances that a 286-pound rider will be able to go as fast as a rider just over 100 pounds is slim. Regardless, how does the 2^nd Generation D3M by Koowheels dish out such praiseworthy speed?

Well, what’s surprising is that this board reaches remarkable speeds with concealed in-wheel motors. As a matter of fact, the D3M rocks out with two 350-Watt brushless hub motors. By and large, many boards have the same type of dual brushless hub motors, but the torque generated by Koowheel’s latest electric longboard will knock your socks off. To tell you the truth, the power offered by this board’s motors are more forceful than inboards and will throw you into a ditch if you’re not careful. Nevermind the acceleration delivered by the D3M’s dual motor setup being somewhat less than desirable; chances are when you get up to speed you won’t give it a second thought. To finish, the modular design permits easy removal of the motors; therefore, reducing maintenance and prolonging the engine life.

As far as range goes, this electric longboard falls a little short of expectations.

This is not to say it’s grossly subpar, but considering the powerhouse design, you’d think Koowheel’s D3M would give you a little more distance. On flat ground, you can expect to make it about 12 miles. However, with any variation in incline or terrain, you can really see distances between 8-12 miles.

Even so, Koowheel kind of makes up for this shortcoming regarding range with its battery design. Not only is the included battery completely substitutable, but its also quick to swap. Literally, all that needs to be done to switch out the battery is to unscrew it, remove it, replace it, and screw in the new battery. All-in-all, you’re looking at about 90 seconds to change this baby’s battery out. So, I guess when you look at it this way, the lack of distance existing in the D3M’s performance doesn’t seem so jarring.

Not making things easy though, the battery isn’t waterproof, so don’t ride on rainy days or in wet conditions.

Seeming like the industry norm at this point, the Koowhell D3M Electric Longboard uses a multi-layered, concave deck design. Not to downplay this board’s durability…just saying. Nonetheless, the deck is made of 7 separate layers of treated Maple Wood. What’s more, the bowl-like, concave shape of the floor give added stability to your ride and better overall control. For instance, taking a turn on a board with a concave design is much easier than maneuvering with a flat board. Much less, if you’re into carving the road up with a surfing riding style, a concave deck will let you cut up the asphalt as if high-tide was always coming in.

Lastly, the remote controller for the Koowheel D3M has an exciting design but can be a little shaky. Because the remote uses Bluetooth technology for it’s connection to the motor system, the low-energy of this method can prove problemtatic. I mean, do you want your motor controls going dark when cruising at 26 MPH? I sure wouldn’t! However, this could be considered somewhat selective as this problem isn’t commonplace and tends to happen as battery life reaches lower levels. Other than that, the controller is pretty standard. It has an acceleration and deceleration button, two gears (forward and reverse), and LED battery life indicators.

You shouldn’t be too apprehensive about this board’s ability to go the distance. Also, try not to get or its fussy wireless Bluetooth remote, remember this electric longboard can fly! Koowheel has made some notable improvements with its’ 2^nd generation Model D3M. Also, the relatively quick charging battery somewhat makes up for this electric skateboard’s ability to go the whole-nine-yards.

TOMOLOO Electric Skateboard and Three Wheels Electric Skateboard

In a word, the Tomoloo H3 is one of the coolest looking electric skateboards on the market. Along with a futuristic design and appearance, the H3 uses a three-wheel design which makes it unique among other same-class electric conveyances. Moreover, this sporty and adventurous comes furnished with tons of perks not seen in most other in-class boards. Coupled with its unique, uncommon build and specialized features, the H3 is one of the safest electrically-powered long-boards on the market today. Due to the company’s high-ranking safety standards, this mode of transport is safe for adults and children all the same. Not to mention, this overall safety adds to the high-level of the desirability of this electric skateboard by consumers.

This is not to say the Tomoloo H3 is the best electric skateboard available today, but instead it’s one of the few booster boards around that isn’t just another run-of-the-mill personal escort. With a decent top-speed of 15.5 MPH and the ability to climb inclines measuring up to 15-degree slopes, this board also exhibits solid performance. Comparatively, the battery may take upwards of 3 ½ hours to charge, but that’s because it’s significantly larger than many cells furnished by other in-class boards. Considering those above, albeit broad, sketch of this board’s general workings, I think it necessary to hone in on the more detailed function and designs. That said, let’s get down to business and look a little deeper into the unique features offered by this electric longboard.

As I spoke right off the bat about this product’s extraordinary safety features, it hard to say that this extra protection isn’t the most admirable characteristic held by the electric longboard. Many other in-class electric-powered longboards usually have some certification with regards to safety standards. However, this three-wheel road hog has a safety resume which puts nearly every other similar product on the market to shame.

Like the Swagtron SwagBoard NG-1, the H3 Three-wheel remote control skateboard holds a UL 2272 Certification. What’s more, this electrically powered tri-wheel stick has several other safety commendations that genuinely put this product at the top of the electric longboard market regarding safety. For instance, and among others, the Tomoloo Three-Wheel complies with every safety regulations set forth by the US. Likewise, this protection laden three-wheeler is resilient against the highest temperatures; furthermore, the manufacturer even took care to make this board entirely fireproof. Of course, it does not lie in saying the H3 can sit in a bonfire and still work. However, it can resist temperature far exceeding any heat naturally emitted by mother nature.

To be a little more specific, the Tomoloo H3 can climb up slopes measuring an impressive 20-30° incline. For one, the wireless remote has three speeds giving you sufficient options regarding modes. For another, the Smart App gives you added customizability by allowing the board to connect to the internet and monitor some different functions. As you can see, this stylish booster board not only catches your eye, but it’s jammed packed with features that make it stand out from nearly every board in its’ class.
