Similarly, the practical design allows for a simple, yet capable, mowing machine. Defining Characteristics
Ease of Use
First and foremost, I have to remind you, this mower uses a POWER CORD! I repeat: You need to plug this mower into an electrical outlet! Moreover, there’s no extension cord included with your purchase. I wanted to say this right up front because this feature can be a deal breaker for some. After all, I don’t want to lead you down a primrose path for no reason. 😉
When mowing with a corded mower, it’s essential to keep the power cord out of the machine’s path. After all, this electric lawn mower’s power cord isn’t going to grow legs and jump out of your way. Bearing this limiting aspect in mind, you see this drawback has a simple solution. To avoid chopping your power cord to bits, start from where you plugged it into a power source. That way, you allow the unraveling cable to fall atop the freshly cut grass behind you. Whereas, if you mow toward the outlet in use, you have a definite safety hazard on your hands.
That said, right from the beginning, you’ll notice this lawn mower’s ridiculously easy-to-use. Aside from a quick learning curve regarding the power cord, everything from mulching to emptying the bag to adjusting this mower’s height is a piece of cake. For example, mulching is a cinch. Insert a plug into the spring-loaded slot on the back of the mower, and you’re good-to-go! Switching to the side-discharge and bag functions is equally simple. All you have to do is remove the previously mentioned plug and attach the corresponding accessory. Now, remember, the side and rear-mounted discharge bags aren’t included. By the same token, they’re quite pricey as well.
Cut Quality
With seven separate height settings, you can move between cuts 3 ¾-inches long to cuts 1 ½-inches short. What’s nice is that, even on the lowest height setting, you’re not likely to encounter any top-soil damage from annoyances like ground scraping.
Overall, the impeccable construction quality, the over-sized cutting deck, and the powerful motor all lend to a first-class clipping. Whereas the large cutting deck allows for minimal passes, the formidable engine makes your cut consistent from start to finish.
Motor Power
The robust, 12-Amp electrically powered engine is the main dish with this model mower. In light of this design feature, I did a quick cross-comparison of other in-class mower motors. Without a doubt, the Greenworks 25022 mower stands above the rest. Not only can you cut through more than just blades of grass with this machine, but also, because it’s electric, this mower runs incredibly quietly.
Maintenance
A great characteristic of this 20-inch electric mower is the lack of required maintenance. That’s right. Despite using an electrical power source, this mower can remain outdoor with little to no consequences. You heard it correctly. Whether there’s rain or sleet or sun or snow, the elements will not soon lay damage to this mower. So, put it in the garage or leave it out in the yard during hurricane season. Either way, the build quality of this lawn mower makes it virtually indestructible.

Lawn Mower Gone Over
At the end of the day, the Model 25022 20-inch Electric Lawn Mower by Greenworks is an excellent piece of machinery. As shown above, the 20-inch-wide cutting swath makes this mower’s cutting path more full than most other same-class mowers. It even fairs pretty well when compared to its’ gas-powered counterparts on the market. Although it may not seem like the Greenworks 25022 has a ton of features, the features it does have are admirable. The multi-function “clipping management system” means you’ll have plenty of options when mowing your lawn. Adding to your choices, the seven different adjustable heights give you a wide range of settings when cutting your lawn. Also, there’s something else interesting about this piece of equipment. When compared to gas-powered lawn mowers, the battery powered engine makes for a peaceful experience. Finally, the light-weight, compact build makes mowing with your lawn mower as easy as storing it.
16” 40 V Lithium-Ion Cordless Mower 25322
The 40-Volt Lithium-Ion powered, Model 25322, cordless mower by Greenworks is a fabulous addition to the company’s G-Max product-line. A nice feature of the G-Max Series is that all the products from this line share the same power source. So, if you have other G-Max gear from the manufacturer, the batteries are interchangeable. That’s right! You can power your trimmer, chainsaw, and lawn mower with the same battery!
Be that as it may, our business here is lawn mowers. Specifically, the Model 25322, 16-inch, 40-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Lawn Mower by Greenworks. Although this mower is a somewhat newer model by Greenworks, it’s been getting rave reviews across the web.
With this in mind, let’s investigate what elements make this mower such a laudable machine.

Defining Characteristics
Ease of Use
I think the first thing that reveals how easy it is to use a lawnmower is how it starts. Concerning the Greenworks 25322 Electric Lawn Mower, there is a two-step starting process. First, you need to press and hold the start button. Second, pull the bail lever back and keep your position until you hear the mower fire up. It’s important to note that most other lawn mowers won’t have you hold the start-button quite so long. Likewise, you’ll need to have the key in the ignition from start-to-finish when using the Model 25322.
Apart from these minor quarks, the ergonomic design of this non-gas mower makes cutting your lawn a lot easier on your body. As an illustration of this ease-of-use, just take a look at the handle. Not only is this feature incredibly comfortable, but it also adds to the mower’s convenience. More specifically, the G-Max 16-incher’s comfortable handle also collapses in two different spots, making storage a snap.
Finally, this lawn mower’s maneuverability is notable. Because of the compact design and smaller cutting path, you’ll be able to reach every corner of your lawn.
Cut Quality
The overall cut quality of this mower is more than commendable. Especially when you consider the fact that the 25322 is much smaller when compared to other in-class lawn mowers. However, as tiny as this G-Max Mower is, it packs some serious cutting power. At the same time, I wouldn’t recommend this cordless mower for larger lawns. That is to say, anything bigger than a third of an acre might present some issues for this little fellow.
Motor Power
As mentioned above, this mower uses a 40-Volt Lithium-Ion Battery System to power its’ blades. In this case, the battery set up is more than enough for small lawns. Then again, if you want to use this mower for a larger yard you might consider getting an extra battery. Not only will adding an extra battery to your arsenal increase the effectiveness of this mower, but it’ll also save you time. As far as I can tell, one battery is about 4-Amp Hours. Regardless, if you have a larger lawn, Greenworks offers the same model in a 19-inch size.
Together with this mower’s state-of-the-art battery design, there is a safety feature which requires installation for the mower to run. Explicitly, there’s a key which needs to be in-place before you can start the mower. Furthermore, this safety key needs to stay in place for the duration of your mow.
Maintenance
Like most Greenworks products, you shouldn’t have to worry too much about maintenance or regular upkeep. Nonetheless, the manufacturer was kind enough to tack on a 4-year, limited warranty in case you do run into trouble. As is commonly seen in manufacturer warranties, this coverage doesn’t include normal wear-and-tear. In the same fashion, parts that have broken down because of mis-use are not covered either. So, don’t go and think you can call up Greenworks after you’ve mowed your lawn a thousand times and ask for a fresh blade.

Lawn Mower Gone Over
By and large, the 16” 40 V Lithium-Ion Cordless Mower 25322 is a solid choice for an electric lawn mower. To point out, this newer, forward-looking company may not be the biggest manufacturer in the marketplace, but it certainly stands behind its’ products. While writing this review, I took it upon myself to give the nice people over at Greenworks a call. And, despite a relatively long holding time, the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Don’t believe me? Give them a call and find out for yourself how devoted this company is to putting out first-class machines.
In any event, the G-Max 25322 Cordless Mower is an excellent, light-weight option for anyone who has a small-sized yard which needs some TLC. This model is also available with a 19” cutting deck. So, there’s no reason to get this mower if you’re yard is over a ½-acre. Ultimately, the G-Max 25322 Electric Lawn Mower seems to be a compact, highly effective cutting machine.
21″ High Wheel Push with Honda Engine 10736
Are you considering a lawn mower on the inexpensive side? Provided you’re searching for a decent mower, you should take note of the Model 10736, gas-powered mower by Lawn-Boy. Notwithstanding its’ “no-frills” design, this push-assisted, gas-powered mower runs reliably and handle very well. Weighing in on the lighter side for a mower in this class, this 21-inch high-wheeler maneuvers easily through your over-grown grass. Although this may be true, the Lawn-Boy 10736 doesn’t exactly have the best motor in the world. So, is your yard over a quarter-acre or grossly over-grown? Well, chances are if you went for a mow with the Lawn-Boy 10736 you’d soon find out the strength of this machine. Or, should I say, the lack thereof? Of course, I’m not saying the on-board Honda Engine is useless. I’m just saying, if you have a bigger lawn or want to tackle thicker brush, this mower might not be for you.
Hopefully, my up-front honesty didn’t scare you away from this gas-powered cutter. In actuality, there are some features that the manufacturer can be proud of in this mower. Markedly, the high-wheel layout makes operating this powered push-mower almost effortless. Additionally, the dual-point cutting system allows you to adjust for two different cutting lengths.
Notwithstanding my opinion, this manufacturer boasts its’ products as “easy to handle” and “hard to beat.” Well, Lawn-Boy definitely nailed the “easy to handle” part. However, the “hard to beat” portion of their slogan remains to be seen.
Together, we’ll take an in-depth look at what makes Lawn-Boy’s High-Wheel Mower tick, and put this manufacturer’s claims to the test!

Ease of Use
In terms of user-friendliness, the Lawn-Boy 10736 doesn’t disappoint. For starters, this 21-inch clipper is amazingly light-weight for a gas-powered lawn mower. As we’ve seen, a light-weight design means increased maneuverability and less wear-and-tear on your body. In particular, the featherweight build makes this mower a smart choice for young people and adults on the frailer side. It’s important to realize that the weight of this machine is not the only contributing factor to its’ usability.
The 10736’s high-wheel design and adjustable deck height also lend to this mower’s scope of use. First, the high-wheel feature sets this push-assisted grass-cutter apart. For the most part, the back wheels on other similar class mowers average around 8-inches. This Lawn-Boy model’s back wheels measure up to a whopping 11-inches. Not only that, the front wheels are a formidable 7-inches off the ground. This raised cutting deck allows for remarkable maneuvarbility, while the adjustable height mechanism doesn’t compromise the integrity of the cut. But, more about that next.
Cut Quality
Regardless of the fact that this Lawn-Boy Mower falls significantly short on power, this mower can still cut surprisingly well. Because the 160cc engine only puts out a little over six-pounds of torque, Lawn-Boy had to be creative. And, they were! By integrating a fine-ribbon design that both cleaves and shreds, this manufacturer was able to maximize efficiency with minimal power. Not only that, but the way the blades physical slice the blades of grass helps keep a healthier lawn.
Adding to the quality of the cut offered by the 10736, Lawn-Boy gives you three options when dealing with your clippings. Depending on your needs, this lawn mower will let you shoot your clipping off to the side, collect them in a bag behind the mower, and even mulch up those bothersome trimmings. What’s even nicer is the bag on the 10736. Not only is this receptacle larger than most, but it also snaps into place and comes off easily.
Motor Power
- I know what you’re thinking. But, don’t worry. I think I’ve already made it pretty obvious that this mower doesn’t exactly surpass expectations in the engine department. So, I’ll try not to be too slanderous. I mean, you just need to know what you’re looking for in a mower. If your property is under a half-acre, then the Lawn-Boy 10736 Lawn Mower might be enough for you.
Look at the facts. The Honda Engine sitting in this puppy was lab-tested at approximately 2800 RPMs. Mind you, this is in ideal conditions, and not in the face of jungle-like lawn. Alright. I’ll cut Lawn-Boy a break. After all, the engine’s manufacturer needs to meet certain operational and emission standards, alongside safety requirements as well.
Maintenance
As far as the “user-experience” goes, Lawn-Boy is no slouch in this department. To kick things off when you purchase a Lawn-Boy Model 10736, the company awards you an interesting warranty. Uniquely, this vendor covers your mower under their Tru-Start Commitment plan. Essentially, if it ever takes you more than two yanks of the engine-cord to start this bad-boy, Lawn-Boy will be there with bells on to fix it. On top of that, your mower’s covered against all other necessary repairs for two-years.

Lawn Mower Gone Over
All things considered, if you have a lawn that’s a tad on the smaller side, the Lawn-Boy 10736 is an acceptable option. Alternatively, if your property’s terrain is uneven or on a hill, this 21-inch cutting machine’s big wheels and lightweight construction allow for smooth operating! What else?
It’s important to recognize that this mower runs incredibly quietly for a gas-powered device. As I’ve said numerous times, this wouldn’t be a wise decision for anyone with a larger yard. To put it differently, if your mowing area is larger than a half-acre, look somewhere else. Of course, you might like a challenge, so who am I to pass judgement?
Husqvarna 21″ Push Lawn Mower 7021P
Aligned with the superior quality provided by Husqvarna, the company’s Model 7021P 21-inch Push Lawn Mower won’t let you down. To be honest, there isn’t an area where this mower ceases to impress. No kidding. You definitely get the whole kit-and-kaboodle with this all-star cutting machine. Not only is this highly-capable lawn mower an all-in-one solution for your lawncare needs, but it also packs quite a punch. As you will see, Husqvarna makes use of every cubic centimeter of the Honda GCV Engine.
Equally impressive is the overall design and construction of this push-mower. With monster-sized wheels, the back wheels take care of anything the front-wheel boost control doesn’t. In terms of construction quality, Husqvarana’s 7021P is built like a brick sh… Anyways, you get the idea. To put it to you differently, Husqvarna combined high-grade steel with first-class expertise to construct a solid, yet comfortable, long-lasting lawn mower.

Ease of Use
The first thing you notice when you break out this beast is that it comes ready-to-go. I know. Can you believe it? A company that actually delivers a complete product! Needless to say, Husqvarna didn’t completely deprive your inner-tinkerer. On the 7021P, you’ll have to extend the handlebars and fix them to your liking. This height adjustment is wildly simple.
Comparatively, you can virtually go on safari and get work done with this 21-inch gas-powered push mower. OK. Maybe that’s a bit of an over-statement, but this mower will power through a lot heavier stuff than most.
One thing I can say is that when it comes to ease-of-use, the Husqvarna 7021P isn’t the most straitforward piece of equipment. But, more about that later. Accounting for the points above, you could still consider the 7021P a relatively easy-to-use machine.
Cut Quality
With a total of 9 different height settings, this name-brand grass-cutter will do an impeccable job on grass ranging from 1 ¼ – 3 ½ -inches in length. Truth be told, this mower handles much more than just long grass. The 7021P takes care of out-of-control growths, eliminates rough patches, and navigates uneven terrain.
On the whole, the cut quality offered by the 21-inch deck of this lawn mower is flawless.
Motor Power
Honda 160cc Engines, like the one in the 7021P, are exceedingly rare in the world of home lawn care products. We see them in models like the gas-powered Lawn-Boy 10736. However, Husqvarna’s motor outperforms all the rest.
Maintenance
Happily, there’s not much to report in this department. In other words, Husqvarna’s 7021P requires very little maintenance. The maintenance that is required is incredibly basic. That said, let me address some things for the novices out there. First, be sure to use the exact oil named in the engine manual from Honda. Next, would you leave your car outside throughout the winter without adding anti-freeze or winterizing your automobile? I doubt it. Consequently, the same deal goes for your Husqvarna Lawn Mower. Make sure you winterize this powerful clipper so you it gives you many more seasons with a picture-perfect lawn.

Lawn Mower Gone Over
It should come as no surprise Husqvarna has put out another winner in the Model 7021P. Even though the company hasn’t been building mowers for long, it’s clear they bring the same “A-Game” in their lawnmowers as their other equipment. Moreover, occupying a spot in the lower average-price bracket, Husqvarna’s build quality speaks for itself. I would be remiss to say I mentioned all of the options and features that come standard on this mower. However, one thing’s for sure. I couldn’t find any major drawbacks when inspecting the Husqvarna 7021P. Can you?
If I were forced to point out this lawn mower’s biggest weakness, I’d say it’s the axle design and a less-than-perfect wheel assembly. There’s no need to worry though. Just keep your machine clean, and perform maintenance when needed.
Greenworks 17-Inch 40V Cordless Lawn Mower, 4.0 AH Battery Included MO40B411
The Model 25302 by Greenworks is a variation of the company’s Model 25322. If you were lucky enough to read my review on the 25322, you’d already know this mower is merely the Model 25322’s “big brother.” More precisely, Greenworks’ 25302 boasts a cutting swath an inch larger than its’ smaller, G-Max Series counterpart. Again, it will serve you to remember this 40-Volt, Cordless Lawn Mower is part of the G-Max family of Greenworks lawn-care equipment. To this extent, you’re able to swap-out the included battery with any other G-Max Series products.
From here on out, I’ll be talking about the 17-inch Model 25302 Greenworks Lawn Mower. Now that we’re back on track, let me point out some factors I’ll discuss in more detail later. One defining characteristic of Greenworks’ 17-incher is the state-of-the-art, Lithium-Ion Battery. By harnessing the power of Lithium-Ions, this mower’s battery will provide consistent, high-quality performance until the charge depletes.

Ease of Use
First things first, it’s nice to see Greenworks didn’t forget your comfort-level in its’ design. Even at first glance, it’s not hard to see the effort put into the ergonomic layout of this mower by the manufacturer. In addition to using applied sciences to maximize comfort, this 17-inch Greenworks Mower also implements a practical design. Accordingly, the handlebars on this mower are adjustable; at the same time, they fold in two for more compact storage.
employs a two-step starting process. Identical to other G-Max Mowers, firing this puppy up is a two-stage sequence. Push the start-button and pull the bail back. That’s it. Starting this electrically powered mower couldn’t be much easier. There is one thing though. Be sure you hold the button down until you hear the engine turn over. This anomaly isn’t super common with most same-class mowers, so it’s easy to forget.
Cut Quality
Obviously, this lawn-care, electric 4-wheeler sits slightly wider than the “little brother” of G-Max Series in the 25322. Nevertheless, it’s vital to consider that one-inch is not that big of a deal. As a matter of fact, it’s downright silly. Right? Well, ask yourself this: What’s 1 x 12? So, it stands to reason that if it takes 12 passes to mow your lawn, your effectively gaining a whole extra foot of cutting-swath. I guess if you count the number of passes it takessignificant difference when speaking to this electrical devicesIn particular, the Model 25302, 40-Volt Lithium-Ion Battery-Powered Mower

Lawn Mower Gone Over
As you may have noticed, the charging time of this model can vary. That is, you have a couple of options when you purchase your “clipper.” At the end of the day, both batteries hold enough juice to get through a small-sized lawn. Explicitly, lawns a half-acre or less. Not only is the battery one of the few parts you’ll need to touch on this machine, but it’s also equipped with an easy-to-read LED Indicator. I don’t think knowing the status of your battery could get much easier.
By and large, this 17-inch electric mower shows you why Greenworks is a serious player in the low-budget lawn mower industry. With a lightweight design, dual-functionality, and an impressive blade speed, this electrically-powered lawn mower might be just what you need as well.
